It’s extremely important to track your progress monthly to make sure you are on track to reach your financial goals. This is the fun part. Seeing your debt decline and your savings and retirement grow will be a great feeling. You can start by tracking your progress like you created your budget. Excel spreadsheets work wonderful and are easy to use. If you want a more automated process, look at options like Quicken or Mint.com. Both of these options are made by Intuit. While I’m not a fan of their tax preparation software, Mint.com is a pretty cool financial tool. Plus, it’s free!
